WHAT IS THERAPY LIKE AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?

It isn't uncommon to feel some anxiety or uncertainty at the start of therapy, especially before the first appointment. Rest assured, you're not alone if you feel this way. And while every client's experience in therapy is different, typically our time will be spent discussing issues that may have arisen since your last visit, working on areas in your past or present, and working on goals for your future to get you to where you want to be.

HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION LAST AND HOW OFTEN SHOULD I ATTEND SESSIONS?

Typically most therapy sessions will last approximately 55-minutes. As for how often you should attend therapy, that depends on each individual, as every client has their own needs. In the beginning, it's especially important to try and attend therapy sessions as regularly as possible, usually weekly, in order to get the most out of the therapeutic relationship. But as needs vary, so will how often sessions are needed.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE OR SLIDING FEE SCALE RATES?

Yes! We offer a sliding fee scale ranging from $75 - $185 per session. We also accept the following insurance plans which may cover all or most of your session costs: Blue Care Network, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Cross Complete, Cigna/Evernorth, Meridian, and Priority Health. If you need help verifying your benefits, please do not hesitate to reach out! We would be happy to assist.

WILL MY THERAPY SESSIONS BE CONFIDENTIAL?

When it comes to the therapeutic relationship, trust is one of the most important aspects, and part of that trust is maintaining your privacy and confidentiality. Part of my duty as a therapist is adhering to confidentiality and privacy guidelines set by state guidelines and ethical standards, with some limited exceptions in cases of abuse, neglect, or in cases of harm to you, by you, or toward someone else.
