Taylour H. Gillett, MA, LPC, NCC, PMH-C
Owner / Licensed Professional Counselor
First and foremost, WELCOME! Taking the initiative to start therapy can be filled with a lot of different feelings depending on where you're at in your journey. For some, this might be a new experience and might feel scary or overwhelming or really exciting. For others, maybe this isn't your first time and it has all of those same feelings for different reasons. Whatever the case may be and for whatever you are feeling, I want you to know that you are not alone.
At some point, we all experience difficulties in our lives and reaching out for help isn't always easy. But that's okay because I am here to help. I work with my clients to create a comfortable, non-judgmental, and safe environment to discuss openly the issues they may be experiencing. It is always my goal in therapy to help guide my clients toward achieving their ideal futures. My therapeutic style focuses on the clients needs and utilizes an integrative and client-centered approach to meet the client where they are at and guide them to where they want to be.
I graduated from the University of Michigan with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and went on to graduate from Oakland University with my Master's Degree in Counseling, specializing in Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2017, hold credentials as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and have taken advanced trainings to become certified as a Perinatal Mental Health specialist (PMH-C). I have also taken additional Supervisory training so that I can provide supervision to Limited Licensed Counselors.
